IMCO Group Secures 11 Million NIS Order for Armored Vehicle Engine Control Units
The Israeli defense tech firm partners with a global industry leader on advanced ECU systems and explores next-generation solutions to extend engine life and boost operational readiness

IMCO Group, an Israeli developer, manufacturer, and supplier of advanced defense and industrial solutions and sub-systems, has announced it secured a contract worth approximately 11 million NIS (about $3 million USD). The order comes from a global leader in drive solutions—engines and transmissions—for the armored vehicle market, and involves the supply of specialized electronic control units (ECUs).
These advanced ECUs are designed to connect directly to armored vehicle engines, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and reliability. Beyond delivering this field-proven product, IMCO and its customer are in discussions for the joint development of a next-generation engine management solution. This new solution will aim to extend engine lifecycle by automatically monitoring and controlling overheating conditions.
The initiative is part of IMCO’s broader Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS), which provides real-time monitoring and diagnostics of critical vehicle subsystems. HUMS enables operators and maintenance personnel to conduct predictive maintenance and identify potential malfunctions before they occur—maximizing fleet readiness and mission effectiveness.
