Israeli company ESC BAZ, specializing in advanced optical systems for border protection, critical infrastructure security, and perimeter defense, has announced that it was awarded a strategic project to secure critical infrastructure facilities in a European country. The project includes radar systems, RF sensors, and advanced anti-drone jamming technologies.

The name of the European country was not disclosed.

Following a rigorous and competitive evaluation process, the company’s 400mm HD MWIR system—featuring both day and thermal imaging channels along with pan-and-tilt capabilities—was selected as the optimal solution to meet the demanding operational requirements.

According to a senior ESC BAZ official, this is another significant step in expanding the company’s presence in Europe. "We are proud to contribute to the protection of vital infrastructure together with our clients and partners," the official stated.

ESC BAZ, a subsidiary of Israeli defense giant Rafael, continues to expand globally. As reported in late 2024, the company finalized a long-term collaboration agreement with Australian defense company EOS. The agreement centers on ESC BAZ’s BPOD system—a sighting solution for machine guns and cannons—which has already been sold in hundreds of units worldwide. EOS has selected the BPOD as the primary sighting solution for its renowned remote weapon stations.
