Israeli Defense Officials and Industry Leaders Discuss Acceleration of Essential Weapons Production

Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Maj. Gen. (res.) Amir Baram, held a security assessment meeting with the CEOs of leading defense industries and senior officials from the Ministry of Defense.
The discussion focused on accelerating the production rate of essential weaponry (munitions) necessary for the ongoing campaign, as well as on the industries' preparedness for protecting and ensuring the survivability of critical assets in the face of the Iranian missile threat.

The meeting was attended by the CEOs of Israel Aerospace Industries, Rafael, Elbit Systems, and Tomer, alongside senior officials from the Ministry of Defense.

During the discussion, Maj. Gen. (res.) Baram addressed Israel’s technological capabilities, stating: "The ability to reach Tehran, strike regime and nuclear facilities with such precision and simultaneity, and to contend with large salvos of ballistic missiles, would not have been possible without groundbreaking Israeli technology developed over years by MAFAT (Administration for the Development of Weapons and Technological Infrastructure) and the defense industries."

In his remarks, the Director General emphasized the challenges facing the system:
"We face major challenges: defense is not airtight, which is why adherence to Home Front Command instructions is critical—it saves lives."

"Alongside our achievements, we must look ahead, strengthen the foundations of Israeli industrial capacity, enable faster production rates, and accelerate the development of next-generation offensive and defensive combat systems."

The assessment highlighted the ongoing need to bolster Israel’s industrial-defense capabilities, both in offensive and defensive aspects, in light of current and future threats. According to the Ministry of Defense, the meeting was part of the ongoing effort to ensure Israel's security superiority.
