Israeli defense technology company TSG has entered a strategic partnership with RETIA, a subsidiary of the Czech-based Czechoslovak Group (CSG), to jointly bid on a Czech Ministry of Defense tender for an advanced air command and control (Air C2) system.

The proposed system is intended to manage and secure the Czech Republic’s national airspace, in line with NATO operational standards. If selected, the deal could be worth several million dollars. The agreement also includes an option to expand cooperation to future projects involving the Slovak Air Forces.

Under the terms of the agreement, TSG will lead the development of the software platform for the Air Defense C2 system, while RETIA will handle hardware integration, implementation, training, and ongoing maintenance. The companies plan to collaborate throughout the entire lifecycle of the project—from tender submission through post-deployment support—with a focus on knowledge sharing and operational exclusivity for the client.

RETIA, a longtime supplier to the Czech Armed Forces, specializes in radar technology and complex system integration, and has participated in modernization efforts with several NATO partners. TSG, meanwhile, brings extensive experience in developing C2 systems for defense and homeland security applications.

The agreement comes amid a broader trend in Central and Eastern Europe to bolster air defense capabilities, driven by evolving regional security challenges. If awarded, the joint project is expected to enhance the Czech Air Force’s operational readiness through a resilient, modernized airspace management system.

TSG CEO Arik Kilman described the partnership as "a significant milestone in strengthening defense cooperation between Israel and the Czech Republic," adding that the project draws on TSG’s “deep experience in advanced air C2 technologies.”

RETIA CEO Jan Mikulecky emphasized the strategic value of the partnership, calling it “a logical step” that will position RETIA to deliver “sophisticated, national-level air defense solutions capable of responding to evolving threats within short timelines.”

The tender results are expected to be announced in the coming months.
