UVision USA, a producer of loitering munition systems, has announced the acquisition of Trim Robotics, a developer specializing in high-maneuverability rotary-wing loitering munitions.

According to UVision, this strategic acquisition enhances the company’s operational portfolio by integrating its HERO series with Trim’s QuadiKaze missile, resulting in a more versatile and synergized loitering munition offering.

The Trim Robotics QuadiKaze is a dual-frame rotary-wing loitering munition system designed for aerodynamic efficiency and superior flight performance. Its unique dual-fuselage configuration ensures exceptional in-flight control and enables optimized attack trajectories with a high angle of attack.

The QuadiKaze bridges the gap between the limited maneuverability of traditional quadcopter-based attack drones and UVision’s advanced fixed-wing HERO series. It offers multiple operational advantages, including extended flight endurance, longer mission durations, and the ability to rapidly engage time-sensitive targets.

Its compact, dual-fuselage design makes it ideal for use in urban warfare and dense environments, such as forests and narrow alleyways. The system features autonomous target identification and strike capabilities, enabling stealthy, high-speed engagements and improving lethality in complex combat zones.

Lightweight and man-portable, the QuadiKaze weighs approximately 4 kg and boasts a highly efficient payload-to-platform ratio. It requires minimal training and supports rapid deployment without extensive logistical preparation.

“UVision continues to push the boundaries of loitering munition development, and this acquisition reflects our commitment to enhancing the capabilities of the HERO family for tactical forces,” stated Dr. Ran Gozali, CEO of UVision Air Ltd.

“The dual-fuselage design combines ease of control with fixed-wing-level kinetic performance. This approach aligns with our vision and portfolio, meeting the growing demand for high-speed, precision loitering munitions in today’s complex operational environments.”
