Elbit Systems UK announced that its subsidiary, Instro Precision Limited, has won a £16 million contract to supply additional XACT nv33 compact Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) to the British Armed Forces.

The contract includes a phased rollout of the systems. Instro has already delivered over 3,500 NVGs to the UK Armed Forces.

Elbit stated that equipping troops with NVGs is essential for maintaining the UK Armed Forces’ operational effectiveness. The XACT nv33 enables personnel to operate effectively in low- and no-light conditions, providing them with a tactical advantage.

As the Electro-Optic Centre of Excellence, Instro’s facility in Kent is responsible for manufacturing NVG systems not only for the UK market but also for countries across Europe.

Martin Fausset, CEO of Elbit Systems UK, said: “Our success in supplying NVGs to the UK Armed Forces is a direct result of the investment we have made here in the UK. We remain committed to equipping our troops with the most advanced technology to ensure they maintain operational superiority.”
