Israeli company ThirdEye Systems Ltd., which specializes in developing AI-powered electro-optical systems, has signed a strategic investment agreement with the UAE-based EDGE Group.

As part of the deal, EDGE will invest approximately $10 million in exchange for a 30% stake in ThirdEye Systems and establish a joint venture with an additional $12 million investment. The venture will focus on developing, commercializing, and marketing electro-optical identification systems in select international markets.

In the joint venture, EDGE will hold 51% of the shares, ThirdEye Systems 43%, and a third party 6%. The new entity will receive a license to use ThirdEye’s intellectual property and will focus on military and defense applications, including counter-UAS and drone defense solutions.

Founded in 2019, EDGE is a leading UAE-based defense technology conglomerate, comprising over 25 companies specializing in military and civilian solutions. With more than 12,000 employees, EDGE ranks among the world’s top 25 military suppliers and operates in 140 countries.

Lior Segal, CEO of ThirdEye Systems, expressed satisfaction with the partnership:

The partnership with EDGE is expected to accelerate its growth, expand its global presence, and position the company as a leader in advanced defense technologies.
