KNDS Germany has ordered 123 Trophy Active Protection Systems (APS) for the German Army's Leopard 2 A8 main battle tanks. The systems will be supplied by EuroTrophy, a joint venture between GDELS, KNDS, and Israel's Rafael.

EuroTrophy stated that this marks its second major contract within the past year, following the Norwegian Army's selection of Trophy as the APS for its Leopard 2 A7 main battle tanks, referred to in Norway as the Leopard 2 A8 NOR.

Germany previously introduced the Trophy APS on its Leopard 2 A7A1 main battle tanks. Seventeen Leopard 2 A7A1 tanks equipped with active protection are scheduled for delivery to the troops starting mid-next year. The United Kingdom has also chosen Trophy for its upgraded Challenger 3 tanks.
