Maris-Tech, an Israeli company specializing in video and AI-based edge computing technology, introduced its Jupiter Drones technology last week. This miniature H.265 encoding/decoding ("CODEC") solution offers multi-channel video streaming, recording, and processing, along with AI-driven analytics to enhance situational awareness in defense and security operations.

According to Maris-Tech, Jupiter Drones addresses the growing demand for lightweight, compact, and energy-efficient platforms in the rapidly evolving UAS market. The codec's key distinguishing features include its built-in AI processor, capable of handling multiple video streams simultaneously with less than 100 ms latency, and its ability to connect to a wide range of camera types.

Jupiter Drones significantly enhances situational awareness by processing multiple video feeds concurrently. It is powered by the Hailo-8 AI module, which delivers 26 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second) and enables real-time detection and tracking. The codec supports HD (1080p60) resolution video acquisition and streaming, ensuring high-quality imagery for critical decision-making.

Jupiter Drones guarantees reliable communication with adaptive technology that identifies signal levels in real-time, maintaining transmission even in challenging environments. It can connect to RF-Datalink (Radio Frequency Datalink), 4/5G cellular networks, and satellite modems.

Israel Bar, CEO and Founder of Maris-Tech, stated, “Jupiter Drones' advanced onboard capabilities are already enhancing mission success for defense forces globally, enabling post-mission debriefing and machine learning applications. With its proven abilities, we expect growing demand for Jupiter Drones technology.”
