The two Shaldag MK5 fast attack interdiction vessels, manufactured by Israel Shipyards, which we reported on two months ago, have now arrived in the Philippines. These are the 7th and 8th vessels out of the nine ordered.

According to the Philippine military website Maxdefense, the ninth vessel will be built by local industry in the Philippines. The website previously noted that both newly arrived vessels are equipped with Rafael's MLR-NLOS missile launcher and Spike NLOS missiles.

These vessels are part of a deal worth approximately $195 million, under which the Philippine Navy contracted Israel Shipyards to supply nine Shaldag MK5 fast attack interdiction vessels.
