Aeronautics, an Israeli designer and producer of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for global defense and homeland security (HLS) markets, has announced a significant contract with a European NATO member country to supply Orbiter 3 UAS systems.

According to the company, this contract will substantially increase the customer's existing fleet. The Orbiter 3 is a small tactical UAS designed for both defense and HLS applications. It is distinguished by its advanced ISTAR capabilities, runway-independent operation, long endurance, and ability to carry various payloads.

The system’s advanced image processing, small logistical footprint, and navigation capabilities in GPS-denied environments further enhance its operational flexibility. Additionally, its ability to withstand harsh weather conditions ensures reliable performance in diverse scenarios. The Orbiter 3’s multi-platform compatibility allows for the communal use of the same launching station and facilitates communication across various systems, enabling seamless integration and expansion.

Dan Slasky, CEO of Aeronautics, stated, “This contract represents another important milestone with a long-standing customer.” He added, “The scalability of our system allows our partners to incrementally expand their capabilities over time, using the same proven infrastructure. This approach not only reduces costs and enables access to the most cutting-edge systems but also streamlines operations for our customers.”
