Indo-Russian Rifles Private Limited reported last week that it has produced and delivered 35,000 Kalashnikov AK-203 assault rifles to the Indian Ministry of Defense through a Russian-Indian collaboration. This joint venture, based in India and involving Rosoboronexport and Kalashnikov Concern under Russia's Rostec State Corporation, ensures high product quality and adherence to specifications.

The AK-203, tailored for the Indian Army, is a variant of the AK-200 series chambered for the 7.62×39 mm cartridge and manufactured in India using proprietary Russian technologies and certified equipment.

Originally designed by the renowned engineer Mikhail Kalashnikov between 2007 and 2010, the AK-203 assault rifle represents a modern firearm originating from Russia. Manufactured by Kalashnikov Concern and Indo-Russian Rifles, the AK-203 incorporates contemporary technologies and materials, continuing the evolution of the Kalashnikov rifle series.
