Israeli military systems, manufactured locally in Spain, were on display at the FEINDEF exhibition that took place last week in Madrid.

In addition to the systems we had already reported on, the exhibition also included the following:

GDELS-SBS (General Dynamics European Land Systems) has showcased the “Eurotrophy” active protection system installed in an Ascod armored track vehicle. The company has a joint venture with Rafael, the Israeli manufacturer of the “Trophy”, and Germany’s KMW, to manufacture and market this solution to European and NATO countries.

Until now, the Ascod was presented with the "Iron Fist" system, manufactured by Israel’s Elbit Systems. This means that from now on both systems can be adapted to this vehicle. This way, the vehicle’s manufacturer allows the country interested in purchasing the vehicle greater flexibility in regards to choosing the active protection system that suits its needs.

GDELS also presented an LT-105 light tank based on the chassis of the Ascod vehicle, equipped with a manned turret with a 105 mm cannon manufactured by Elbit, with an option for an unmanned turret. Bulgarian website Bulgarianmilitary.com reported that the Ukrainian government was interested in the purchase of the LT-105 tank from Spain (with the Israeli turret), but that the deal fell through due to Spain’s inability to deliver the vehicle immediately, according to Ukrainian demand.

Spanish company Escribano, together with Elbit,  presented another active protection system for vehicles, “Iron Fist”. In this case, the solution was displayed on Escribano’s Guardian 30 turret for the new 8x8 Dragón Combat Vehicle on Wheels (VCR).
