EMTAN MZ-4 assault rifle has successfully undergone rigorous IDF testing
The meaning is that EMTAN is given the opportunity to participate in the Israeli Ministry of Defense tenders for the supply of rifles to Israeli units and military agencies

Are we heading for a significant change in the small arms market in Israel? Israel Defense has learned that the EMTAN MZ-4 assault rifle has undergone a number of rigorous tests in the past year in IDF units and has actually been approved for use by the IDF. The tests included erosion fire (20,000 bullets), shooting in harsh environmental conditions, accuracy and safety.
In practice, this does not mean that this assault rifle immediately enters the use of IDF units, but that EMTAN is given the opportunity to participate in the Israeli Ministry of Defense tenders for the supply of rifles to Israeli units and military agencies.
The EMTAN MZ-4 assault rifle family includes several models of M4/M16 compliant, 5.56x45 mm NATO caliber automatic rifles. MZ-4 family assault rifles powered by direct impingement gas-system and also in an advanced configuration of piston operation. The company offers this rifle in a number of different barrel lengths depending on the different needs and the units that use it (7.5 inches, 11.5 inches, 14.5 inches, 20 inches and even 16 inches and 18 inches).
This is a significant step for EMTAN, which has not yet played a significant role in the Israeli small arms market. In contrast, the company is enjoying success around the world and just a week ago we reported that it had won a large contract to supply thousands of MZ-4P rifles to the Spanish Civil Guard.
