Israeli Chief of Staff visits Bahrain

This is the first ever visit of its kind. LTG Aviv Kohavi was greeted upon arrival by hiss Bahraini counterpart

IDF Chief of the General Staff LTG Aviv Kohavi embarked yesterday (Wednesday) on a historical first visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. He was welcomed upon arrival by Chief of Staff of the Bahraini Defense Force, His Excellency Lieutenant General Theyab Bin Saqer Al-Noaimi.

Kohavi then met with National Security Advisor, Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and with additional Bahraini leaders, as well as with Vice Admiral Charles Cooper II, Commander of the US Forces Special Command.

This official visit follows other visits recently held as part of the Israeli-American cooperation, including the visit of the CENTCOM Commander, General Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr., in Israel.
