The Israeli company MCTECH, a manufacturer of RF technology systems that specializes in the design, development, and production of radio frequency jammers, unveiled this week a new generation of advanced jamming systems, the MC-1005G. The jammer was designed to block fifth-generation cellular communications in all bands including low, medium, and high combined with the second, third and fourth generation jamming capabilities.

According the company, the new and advanced system was developed to deal with future threats in the battle filed such as radio-controlled improvised explosive devices (RCIED) based on 5G technology, protecting convoys and maneuvering soldiers or to be used where 5G jamming is needed such as correctional facilities and secured compounds.

Haim Meirovich, CEO of the company, says, "That the biggest challenge was to defeat and jam the exotic range of frequencies in the high band of 5G, a frequency range exceeding 27GHz which is part of the millimeter waves range. The good news are that using the new technology that was developed in MCTECH laboratory we successfully defeated this threat, even in the highest frequency range.

The new technology will be operational soon by n European end user where immediate blocking of these frequencies is required due to the deployment of G5 technology in the country.
