The Joint Cyber Defense Division (JCDD) of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the US Cyber Command have completed their sixth annual cybersecurity drill, dubbed Cybedome.

The drill, which took place at a Cyber Command facility in the US, simulated cybersphere combat scenarios, in order to improve the readiness of both nations for ever-growing cyber threats.

“Over the past week, the IDF Joint Cyber Division (JCDD) and @US_CYBERCOM trained for a variety of cyber defense challenges in the US,” the IDF tweeted. “This event demonstrates the strategic partnership between the two militaries, which allows both to achieve cyber network superiority.”

“Cybersphere is changing and evolving into a daily combat sphere, which threatens to harm government, private and civilian organizations,” said Major General Lior Carmeli, Head of the IDF’s Computer Service Directorate, who visited the drill. “The strategic partnership in this area with the US is significant.”
