Oshkosh Defense awarded mega contract for truck supply

The company will supply vehicles and trailers worth about $600 million to the US military as well as a number of foreign countries

The U.S. Department of Defense announced it has awarded a $591,605,517 contract to the American company Oshkosh Defense to manufacture 1,669 Joint Light Tactical Vehicle trucks (JTLV and 868 trailers and associated kits and parts.

According to the DoD, these vehicles are intended for all arms of the US military (Army, Marines, Air Force and Navy) as well as for foreign countries such as Slovenia, Montenegro, Brazil and Lithuania through foreign military aid to allies.
