Finnish armored combat vehicle manufacturer Patria announced Monday that it signed a framework agreement with Finland and Latvia for the supply of 6x6 armored vehicles. At the same time, Latvia and Patria signed a contract for the supply of over 200 6x6 armored personnel carriers, with deliveries scheduled to take place between this year and 2029. Meanwhile, Finland and Patria signed a letter of intent on a future order of APCs by the Northern European country.

According to the company, other countries can join the joint program if they receive the consent of those already participating. The Patria 6x6 vehicle is said to combine all the proven features of Patria XA and AMV vehicles. It is simplified, reliable and designed to meet the highest requirements of customers. Its off-road mobility is supported by an efficient power unit and independent suspension like that of the Patria AMV vehicle. Due to the spacious interior and well-defined functions, the vehicle is easy to operate, the company says.
