Austrian elite unit EKO Cobra to receive STG 77A3 assault rifles

The counterterror unit ordered 150 of the rifles worth almost 800,000 euros

EKO Cobra, a tactical unit of the Austrian Ministry of the Interior that specializes in counter-terrorism operations, will receive STG 77A3 assault rifles. The ministry's Special Forces Directorate (DSE) has ordered 150 sets of the .300 Blackout caliber weapons, which will be delivered by the manufacturer, Steyr Arms. The order is valued is around 798,000 euros. 

The Soldat &Technik website reported that each set will include the weapon, an aiming optics Aimpoint Comp M4 with a 3x magnification attachment, a B&T tilting mount for M4 and booster, a Rheinmetall "varioray" laser light module, a Magpul carrying strap, a T-Sling attachment strap, five magazines compatible with the M4 magazine slot, a Tasmanian Tiger carrying case, a cleaning kit and an instruction manual.
