Israel's Commtact, a provider of advanced wireless communications solutions for manned and unmanned platforms, announced Wednesday that its EMDLS datalink radios have recently undergone intensive testing by the U.S. Army under MIL-810 and MIL-461 standards.

EMDLS datalink radios are designed and developed specifically for use with small to medium-sized platforms including vertical takeoff and landing drones. The EMDLS can operate under temperatures ranging from -40°C to +65°C, withstand strong rain and vibrations, and resist penetration and damage from sand and dust, according to the company.

"Attentive as ever to the needs of the forces in the field, our transceivers provide reliable continuous secure data link under any weather condition," said Ariel Kandel, Commtact’s CEO. "We believe that this successful testing will leverage our cooperation with the US Army."
