Dynamit Nobel Defense, owned by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, will cooperate with General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems for development of a series of grenade launchers for the American market. The series of weapons will be based on the RGW 60 and the RGW 90 manufactured by DND, General Dynamics announced on March 18.

Eric Ellis, VP and general manager of GD-OTS, said that the agreement blends the "tactical air munitions expertise" of the US company "with DND’s 60 years of experience in the development and production of shoulder-launched weapons for anti-armor and multipurpose missions."

According to Shephard Media, DND developed the 60mm RGW 60 launcher for special operations, airborne and other light forces which require a compact, lightweight assault weapon. The RGW 90, meanwhile, has a warhead against targets up to 1,200m away.
