Meprolight, a member of the SK Group and an Israeli manufacturer of electro-optical systems, thermal, night vision equipment, and self-illuminated sights for military, law enforcement and civil applications, has unveiled a new family of pistol sights. The Mepro Evergreen, the company says, is a super-bright LED illuminated sight that is suitable for daytime or nighttime operation.

The Mepro Evergreen maintains its strong brightness level and reliability for five consecutive years of operation and is available in two configurations: front sight embedded with super-bright green LED illumination patent source with reflective color ring, and a rear sight embedded with two super-bright green LED illumination sources, according to the company.

The sight is designed for most of the popular pistol brands, such as Glock, Walther, H&K, IWI, CZ and Beretta, and fits a wide range of holsters. It does not contain hazardous materials, and it complies with European Standards, Meprolight says.

Benny Kokia, Meprolight's V.P. Sales & Marketing, said "It was a significant challenge to design, manufacture and insert such small LED light sources into existing small metal housing, while ensuring its strong brightness level and reliability for five years. We are proud that we have successfully met the challenge and maintained our leading position in the market as the innovating powerhouse for aiming solutions for pistols and rifles. The Mepro Evergreen opens new opportunities for European pistol users to enhance their shooting capabilities in both daytime and nighttime and it is the ideal alternative for Tritium self-Illuminated sights that are not permitted to use in parts of Europe due to local regulations."
