Israeli company Mobius, specializing in the design, development and manufacturing of life saving, energy-absorbing systems for military vehicles, announced last week that its protection systems and its driver seats have been selected by the IDF to be installed in the new Eitan 8x8 armored fighting vehicle.

According to the company, its top-of-the-line, lifesaving solutions offer blast protection for all crew positions, namely those of the commander, gunner, driver and troops. The company's seats are used in logistics trucks, main battle tanks, infantry combat vehicles, armored personnel carriers, mine-protected armored vehicles, and light armored vehicles. The seats are designed to suit all occupant sizes, from light 5th percentile female up to heavy 95th percentile male. The solutions have been proven highly effective in combat environments, and are the system of choice for many users in the US, UK, Israel, Canada, Italy, Spain and other countries, the company said.
