Israel's MCTECH, which specializes in the design, development and manufacturing of high-end radio frequency jammers, completed last month the process of supplying dozens of MC-60P explosive device jammers to a military customer in Southeast Africa.

The MC-60P, developed and manufactured by MCTECH Laboratories, is a modular and portable system that can be quickly deployed or operated while in motion. Its function is to protect troops, explosive ordnance disposal operators and other security forces from radio-controlled improvised explosive devices, or to disrupt enemy transmissions on the battlefield.

Ido Bar-Oz, the company's vice president, said, "This is the second time we have been selected over our competitors in the world to supply such systems to the country, which indicates first and foremost the end customer's confidence in the performance of our systems on the battlefield. We are proud to take part in defending the lives of civilians, soldiers and security forces on the battlefield as part of the ongoing fight against terrorism in Africa."
