Meteor Aerospace, a privately owned Israeli defense company, has recently delivered its Impact-700 Unmanned Aerial System to an unspecified customer. The delivered system includes 3 UAVs, a ground control system, ground equipment and logistical support.
Impact-700 is a MALE class UAV with a 730 kg maximum take-off weight, over 100 kg payload capacity, 18,000 feet operational ceiling, and over 20 hours of endurance. The system is newly designed, highly automatic and reliable. The system’s reliability is further enhanced by its automatic takeoff and landing function, the company said.
Impact-700 carries various mission payloads, and is controlled by a Ground Control Station (GCS) over a secure data link at operational ranges up to 200 km. It can perform various missions including long range and long endurance patrols, surveillance, intelligence gathering, and target acquisition and tracking.
Meteor Aerospace develops and produces advanced unmanned defence systems, including the Impact-700 and Impact-1400 UAV systems, the ORCA unmanned/manned vessel (USV), the RAMBOW Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV), and several long range precision strike missile systems.
Itzhak Nissan, Meteor Aerospace’s CEO, said "This successful delivery of our Impact 700 UAV system is another notable achievement, establishing the company as a reliable provider of top performance defense solutions."
