A terror tunnel that crossed into Israeli territory from the Khan Yunis area of the southern Gaza Strip was located and exposed on Tuesday. The route was found as part of the regular and continuing effort to locate and neutralize terror tunnels, and thanks to the constant technological and collection capabilities of the underground barrier on the border of the Gaza Strip. The tunnel did not cross the barrier and did not pose a threat to the nearby communities.

After indications were detected by the barrier, which has been built along the Gaza border over the last few years and is being completed these days, IDF engineering forces conducted an operation in the area of the border fence and located the terror tunnel.
