A Chinese test-launch of a swarm of loitering drones demonstrates the ease with which it is possible to cover an area of land using small flying objects. In the test, the launches were carried out from a light tactical vehicle with 48 launch tubes as well as from a helicopter that fired canisters of drones.
The drones entered a swarm formation and started to provide visual intelligence on the area of land, Towards the end of the video documenting the event, one of the drones is used for an attack.
For Israel, the significance is that this kind of technology, operational in China, could be sold to many different countries in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf. It has become clear that advanced countries are not the only ones with drone swarms.
