A session that took place in the framework of the leading hi-tech conference for digital innovation, DLD Live Tel Aviv, introduced startups to senior executives from Israel Aerospace Industries. The goal was to find opportunities for cooperation. IAI was represented by Dr. Amira Sharon, VP of Technology, Innovation and R&D; Adi Chen Menaker, CIO & CKO; Israel Lupa, Executive VP-CTO, Elta Systems; and Nir Tel Oren, Manager, UAS R&D Projects.
The following startups participated in the event: Celeno, Flyworks, Hub Security, GreenBlue Aviation, FinCom, Facense, Oxitone Medical Ltd, RoboSoc, Aurora Labs, Sternum, Smart Eye, and Soliddd Corp. Almost all of them are seeking cooperation with a large company and in some cases investment as well. The session at DLD Live Tel Aviv was part of IAI's activity to promote innovation. This activity also includes an innovation center to spark new ideas among the workers of the company. The innovation center runs a 13-week course during which selected workers of the company develop solutions until the minimum viable product stage. In addition, the company holds meetings, like the ones during DLD, with external startup companies with a goal of accelerating innovation in the company's various divisions.
The startup companies that will be selected by IAI among those that participated in the DLD session are to work with the company's divisions to develop products and joint technologies.
