The Royal Danish Army has selected the Colt Canada C20 Designated Marksman Rifle as its new sniper rifle. The weapon that fires 7.62 × 51 mm NATO rounds is intended to replace the Heckler & Koch HK417S currently in service. It has been designated the "FINSKGV, K" in Danish.

The procurement organization of the Danish Ministry of Defense published last week on Facebook that the FINSKGV,K is expected to be issued from the first quarter of 2021 to light infantry snipers and the special patrol unit of the Danish Home Guard. The rifle comes with a carrying system, magazine bags and other comprehensive accessory packages, which are tailored to the needs of the individual units.
