The demonstrations against the regime in Belarus are continuing, with thousands of citizens taking to the streets with a goal of ending the totalitarian rule of Alexander Lukashenko. As part of the struggle against the regime, anonymous hackers leaked the personal details of 1,000 Belarussian policemen. Those that allegedly participated in the suppression of demonstrations.

“As the arrests continue, we will continue to publish data on a massive scale,” said a statement distributed by opposition news channel Nexta Live via the Telegram messaging app. “No one will remain anonymous, even under a balaclava.” The government announced that it will find and punish those responsible for leaking the statistics that were distributed widely Saturday evening.

The leak also has another implication. If it is discovered that crimes were committed by the law enforcement services during the demonstrations, the details of the policemen could reach an international court such as the International Criminal Court.
