Lithuanian Army to field Heckler & Koch SFP-9 SF Pistol

This is the first time the H&K SFP-9 has been chosen by a NATO partner. Several national police forces and the Japanese armed forces use the same handgun

The German website Soldat & Technik reports that the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense has chosen the German company Heckler & Koch to supply its future service pistols.

The handgun is the striker-fired SFP-9 SF, which has the magazine release on the trigger guard.

The deal is worth around 1.57 million Euros and will span the next six years. Soldat & Technik said that the SFP-9 was selected over five other competing offers.
