After being awarded a $44 million contract in July by the US Department of Defense for the supply of US Army Humvee (High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle) diesel engines, it turns out that the company won another such contract, this time worth more than $29 million.

The new contract, like the previous one, was awarded by the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime. In a statement, the agency said that the contract is valid until the end of July 2023 and will be executed in Indiana.

As reported, AM General was acquired a few weeks ago by a private holding company, KPS Capital Partners, which specializes in acquiring manufacturing companies that are in financial distress.
