Russia Will Develop an Amphibious Version of the Tor-M2

Russian news agency TASS reports that long-term contracts worth 100 billion rubles have been signed for the supply of Tor-M2 air defense systems to the Russian Armed Forces until 2027.

The Commander of the Russian Air Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Alexander Leonov, said that Russia is preparing a new modification of the Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system on a wheeled chassis capable of swimming through water obstacles. "In addition, Tor-M2DT-level air defense systems will be supplied to equip air defense units in the Arctic and the Far North," the general added.
