IDF troops carrying out routine operations in the Har Dov area adjacent to the Lebanese border foiled an infiltration attempt on May 17.

A single person, whose identity was not immediately clear, crossed in an area where there is no border fence. The IDF said it is investigating how the incident happened.

The infiltrator, who was shot and wounded, was flown by helicopter to a hospital. There were no other casualties in the incident.
