Netanyahu Under Quarantine After Minister Tests Positive for Virus

Israel's prime minister has gone into self-isolation for at least a week after the country's health minister tested positive for COVID-19. Netanyahu will run the country by video conference during this period.

 

Netanyahu Under Quarantine After Minister Tests Positive for Virus

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is self-isolating after Health Minister Yaakov Litzman tested positive for the coronavirus.  The Prime Minister's Office said in an official statement that Netanyahu, upon the recommendation of his personal physician and under the instructions of the Health Ministry, went into isolation until next Wednesday after the announcement that the health minister's test came back positive.        

Netanyahu joins a series of senior Israeli figures including Mossad Director Yossi Cohen, IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi, the head of the IDF Home Front Command and the head of the IDF Operations Branch.
