Satellite Image Reveals Damage from Recent Attack in Syria Attributed to Israel

According to Israeli satellite imagery company ISI, a hangar at the Jamraya Scientific Studies and Research Center was completely destroyed in Sunday night’s airstrikes in Syria

Israeli company ImageSat International (ISI) on Monday published satellite imagery showing a hangar that was reportedly destroyed by last night’s airstrikes in Syria attributed to Israel.

"At night (1 July, 2019), a hangar at Jamraya SSRC compound was destroyed entirely. The hanger (30x12 meters) located north-west of Damascus probably used for storage of advanced weapon systems or another sensitive element which required the mentioned accurate strike. According to the media reports, the attacked site is related to Hezbollah and Iran,” ISI said.

The Jamraya Scientific Studies and Research Center (SSRC) was hit several times in the past in operations attributed to Israel.

According to Syrian state media, Israeli fighter jets fired missiles targeting military positions in Homs and the Damascus outskirts in an attack that killed at least 16 people, among them six civilians, and wounded 21 others. [Click here for the full story]
