Israel will take part in the 2020 World Expo in Dubai, the Foreign Ministry announced Thursday.
The ministry said it welcomed “the opportunity to share our spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship and to present Israeli innovations and trailblazing technology in various fields such as water, medicine and information technology.”
“Expos are meeting places where people all over the world come together and take advantage of each other’s talents to face joint challenges and advance society,” it said in a statement.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel’s participation was “another expression of Israel’s rising status in the world and the region.”
At least 192 countries will attend Dubai's Expo 2020 innovation fair. “We have invited every country in the world without exception,” organizers said Thursday.
