Israel’s Ministry of Defense is renewing a contract with Elbit Systems for maintenance work on ground simulators to the tune of NIS 100 million (approx. $27 million), IsraelDefense has learned. In 2014, the parties signed a five-year simulator operation and maintenance deal worth $23 million.

The agreement will cover a variety of platforms, both mobile and stationary, including tank and armored vehicle simulators, driving simulators, intelligence simulators, and more.

IMOD has confirmed to IsraelDefense that it is working on “a follow-on contract with Elbit Systems to operate and maintain ground simulators the company is already operating throughout the IDF,” adding that other contracts were also signed with other companies.
