Lebanon Receives Armored Vehicles, Anti-Tank Missiles from France

The weapons are part of the military aid package promised by former French President Hollande in 2016

Ten VAB HOT Mephisto armored vehicles fitted with anti-tank missile launcher turret, 95 HOT anti-tank missiles, and two simulation systems were delivered Tuesday to the Lebanese army as part of a French aid program.

The new batch of weapons and armored vehicles is a part of a plan to enhance cooperation between Lebanon and France.

Former France President François Hollande has committed to donate €40 million worth of military equipment during his visit to Lebanon in April 2016.
