Lockheed Receives DoD Contract to Supply Combat Ships to Saudi Arabia

Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $282 million contract to deliver four Multi-Mission Surface Combatant ships (MMSC) to Saudi Arabia. Work is expected to be completed by October 2025, the US Defense Department said in a release.

The MMSC is a lethal and highly maneuverable surface combatant capable of littoral and open-ocean operation. Its mission capabilities include anti-surface warfare (ASuW), anti-submarine warfare (ASW), anti-air warfare (AAW), mine warfare, electronic warfare, and special operations.
