TATA Displays Kestrel WhAP Fitted with Elbit's UT30MK2 Turret

TATA, in cooperation with India's DRDO, is exhibiting at DefExpo 2018 the Kestrel Wheeled Armored Platform, or WhAP, fitted with an Elbit UT30MK2 turret with a 30mm Bushmaster cannon. (source: indiandefence11)

More details on the WhAP, an 8x8 armored infantry carrier, are available on defproac.com. It was first introduced in 2014 with different weapon stations.

According to the DRDO, the 25-ton vehicle is powered by a 600-hp diesel engine that accelerates the vehicle to a maximum speed of 100 km/h. It also has two propellers for amphibious operation.
