The US Company AeroVironment will deliver RQ-20B Puma AE II M3/M4 unmanned aerial systems to the Egyptian Armed Forces [defense.gov]. The estimated completion of the deal, valued at $9 million, is September 2020.
"Puma AE (All Environment) can deliver 3.5+ hours of flight endurance while versatile smart battery options support diverse mission requirements. A provided plug and play power adapter also makes for easy integration of extended endurance options such as solar wings," according to AeroVironment.
The UAS can operate at an altitude of 500 ft. (152m). It has a range of 20 km and can a stabilized EO/IR camera and IR Illuminator all in one modular payload. The RQ-20B can be launched both manually or by rail.
