Saab, in collaboration with its Kuwaiti partner Bader Sultan & Bros, delivered the world´s first integrated national chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) center to Kuwait.

The operational CBRN center covers the whole country with fixed and mobile CBRN sensors and units, according to Saab.

Saab Support and Services Business area acting head Torsten Öhman told Army Technology that the CBRN center "derives from our detailed knowledge of C4I – Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence systems – as well as systems and platform integration."

Saab stated that it built the CBRN center in partnership with the Kuwait National Guard and Bader Sultan & Bros. The Kuwait National Guard has received an automatic warning and reporting (AWR) system from Saab in 2015, which is a key part of the national CBRN center.

The AWR system is capable of detecting, identifying, warning, monitoring and reporting CBRN hazards. It can be operated from fixed locations and carried by personnel or mounted on vehicles.
