Milipol 2015 in Paris: Variety of Israeli-made Systems and Border Protection Solutions

Thousands are participating at the Milipol 2015 exhibition held in Paris, while in the backdrop are the terrorist attacks that took place in the city over the weekend. The exhibition, held under strict security, host about 57 Israeli companies exhibiting a range of solutions and systems. Special coverage by Amir Rapaport in Paris

Under extraordinary security, the Milipol exhibition opened in Paris with record attendance of not less than 57 Israeli companies. The exhibition is designed for police and para-military forces around the world, and it is being held although France's security forces are dealing with the consequences of the terrorist attacks over the weekend. Tens of thousands of participants are taking part in the exhibition, despite the fact that dozens of delegations have canceled their arrival, especially from Asia.

24 of the Israeli companies are participating in the national pavilion organized by the Israel Export Institute. In the large Israeli display, young Israeli companies stand out, along with giant companies with advanced technologies in the areas of command and control and tactical combat solutions. Ramzi Gabay, Chairman of the Israel Export Institute said: "In the beginning of the preparations for the exhibition and coordination of business meetings with relevant officials and companies around the world, we have seen an increase in the demand to meet with companies that have border protection technology. Against the background of recent events, this year we expect an increased interest on behalf of European countries in the products and services presented in the Israeli pavilion."

Ohad Cohen, Director of Foreign Trade said "Israel, which faces constant challenges in maintaining the security of its citizens, has become over the years one of the leading countries in the field of HLS with proven industry reputation and ability to bring creativity and innovation to the field. 24 Israeli companies are expected to exhibit this week as part of the Israeli national pavilion at Milipol Paris, 120 meetings have been set with foreign firms through the commercial attaches operated by the Foreign Trade Administration throughout Europe. Beyond these meetings, the Israeli pavilion is expected to attract many visitors, both formal officials and business players in the field of security solutions."

In the IAI Pavilion, Elta presents, among other things, theTAC4G tactical communication system

 

Rafael presents technology solutions for border protection, including command and control systems, observation systems, electro-optical systems, watchtowers, radars for detection of vehicles and suspicious individuals and various other systems

 

Elbit Systems is also presenting its products in the pavilion. For the first time, CyberBit, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems, is also exhibiting

 

IWI is also in Paris, presenting a variety of light arms systems it produces

 

Lior Textile is also presenting its products at the exhibition, including wearable armor for combat forces

 

Israeli company Verint is also exhibiting at the major exhibition

 

Another Israeli company in the exhibition is Amicell

 

Among the other companies presenting security technologies at the national pavilion: MER Group – presenting smart/secure city projects, which include solutions such as advanced network security cameras, smart police cars, technologies for automatic identification and location of vehicles, and more.

And Mifram Security – presenting a range of solutions in the field of border protection and security

More companies in the national pavilion: A.C.S – presenting an innovative pouch for grenades, which shortens the time to extract the grenade, thus changing the rules of the game and possibly saving the lives of soldiers and police special units; Netline – introducing communication disruption technology that enables detection and neutralization of unmanned aerial vehicles; and the companies: Beit Alfa, Bullet Plate, Communitake, ELSight, Fibrotex, Gepspotx, Gita Technologies, I.T.P Novex, Memtex, Mobilicom, Octopus, Picsix, Pro4tech, Rashef Graf, ISPRA and Wintego.

RT also participates in the exhibition. The company presents its observation aerostats family, the SKYSTAR. Among other systems, the SkyStar 100 Mini Aerostat will be displayed

As estimated by the Israel Export Institute, the export of Homeland Security solutions to France in 2014 amounted to approximately $ 120 million. In the Israel Export Institute they also estimate that Israel has 350 HLS companies, exporting about $ 1.5 billion a year.

During the exhibition, hundreds of visitors were given issues of the Israel Defense magazine, which include a special supplement reviewing the companies participating in the national pavilion
