Nigeria Wants a Military Satellite

Nigeria is on its way to establish a space agency and attain space intelligence capabilities, according to state media reports

It seems that more Middle Eastern countries have their sights on advanced military technology. Alongside Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Nigeria also want to possess space intelligence capabilities.

The Allafrica website has reported that Nigeria decided it wants a military intelligence satellite, according to a statement by Air Vice Marshal Tommy Udoh. According to him, Nigeria needs its own space agency and military satellites in the Nigerian Army. The Bill establishing the space agency has passed first reading at the National Assembly.

Nigeria's space ambitions further include sending an astronaut into space by 2030. This, according to Pulse.ng website.
