The Israeli company eVigilo, which specializes in warning and message transfer systems for cellular devices, is expanding the scope of its deal with the Chilean government, a year after having deployed its tsunami warning system in the country.
As part of a multi-channel warning perception, eVigilo's system sends warnings based on internet and cellular communication. The expansion of the deal in Chile includes the installation of the warning and messaging system onboard smartphone devices of special forces and closed user groups in the country.
According to Guy Weiss, eVigilo CEO, "the current expansion of the deal points to the Chilean government's trust in our solution. We are proud to take a prominent role in Chile's emergency communication revolution and are pleased to contribute to the safety and security of the Chilean people."
