According to a publication by the Lithuanian Defense Ministry, Elbit Systems has upgraded the self-propelled 120 mm mortar systems of the Lithuanian Armed Forces. Elbit upgraded their fire control, fire observation, adjustment equipment and command and control systems. The mortar systems are mounted on the M113 A2 ACPs.
The Lithuanian Armed Forces carried out practical tests last week with the new system. The systems will be assigned to subunits of the Mechanised Infantry Brigade Iron Wolf. The contract was signed in 2013. The value of the contract totals to approximately EUR 6.6 million.
