Italy's ambassador to Israel as well as former and current senior figures from Israel's defense establishment will participate tonight in Tel Aviv in a reception and conference organized by Israel Defense and Cybertech in honor of the publication of Professor Giancarlo Elia Valori's new book, "Geopolitics of the New Middle East".
What is the most substantial threat to Israel's security? Is the Israeli education system adapted to the challenges of the future? What can Israel do to achieve a technological advantage and maintain it? What will be the influence of the U.S. withdrawal from its bases in the region, and is Europe an influential factor in the Middle East? These questions and more will be addressed by the speakers.
Among those participating in the event are former Defense Minister Moshe (Bogie) Ya'alon; former commander of the IDF's 8200 Unit and director-general of the Defense Ministry, Pinchas Buchris; former National Security Council head Giora Eiland; former Deputy Defense Minister Dalia Rabin; and businessman and entrepreneur Yossi Vardi.
