Syrian state media said on Sunday that Israeli rockets had hit a Syrian military position near Al-Nayrab airbase on the outskirts of the city of Aleppo.

SANA reported that the strike only caused damage to the site, but the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the strike killed nine Syrian soldiers.

According to a report by QalaatAlMudiq, eight to ten missiles targeted an Iranian shipment that was being unloaded at the airbase. The report adds that the base was previously struck by Israel on April 29.

There was no immediate comment from Israel on the report.
